I don't know if "Coronation Street" is OK to upload, but there are two other UK series which might be suitable for upload: "Shadow Squad" (surviving episodes aired in 1957), and "The Larkins" (first series aired 1958). If they are suitable for upload, I think someone should upload them. I would upload myself, but I don't feel comfortable doing them.

Thanks Matt, I've got the whole first series of The Larkins ready to go, so I'll get them up today. As far as I can find, Coronation Street should be public domain and my research to copyright records says it is, so I'll upload that too.

I've got some other cool shows to upload too like 'Dixon of Dock Green' (early eps) and a little rarity called No Hiding Place which was a very early British cop show.

I think you'll like what I'll be uploading. I'm making up for last time!

As I said, I don't know if they are OK to upload, but I hope they'll be fine. Video-Cellar once commented that UK TV from mid-1959 onwards might not be OK due to GATT, but that there was some dispute on this? First series of "The Larkins" should be fine though (I hope). Mind you, I know nothing about copyright, you better ask him instead.

"No Hiding Place"....I look forward to seeing, because I've never seen a show from Associated-Rediffusion before. You see, it's a hobby of mine to see shows of as many different broadcasters as possible. As far as ITV goes, I've seen shows from ATV, ABC, LWT, Granada, Yorkshire Television, Thames, not sure if any others.

Also, since it's 12:23AM where I live...Happy New Year!

I think they'll be fine, I've done my research ;)

Yes, "No Hiding Place" is absolutely brilliant, a very very good cop show and created a lot of the cool things we see in TV shows now.

I'm uploading the first three episodes of The Larkins right now, so they should be up soon.

As I forgot in my last post, I also have an episode of the 1958 TV series Ivanhoe to upload, which starred Roger Moore.

This is a rare treat as it's unavailable anywhere on DVD.

Could it be one of the films? As Ivanhoe (1958) has been unavailable on any form of home video, unfortunately.

My copy sources from a 35mm overseas sale, so it's not awful quality.

Sony and ITV hold all the original negatives but for whatever reason haven't seen fit to release them to home video.
